Scope

  • The Art & Science of Teaching: We seek groundbreaking research on pedagogy and curriculum design. This includes studies on innovative teaching models that reshape learning, such as using local history to build an 'Archipelagic Consciousness' or integrating philosophy into economic education to foster value-based entrepreneurship. We are especially interested in work that explores and evaluates major curriculum reforms and promotes culturally responsive teaching in diverse classrooms.

  • Leading & Managing Educational Change: We publish insightful analyses on educational leadership and management. This includes studies on cultivating ethical leadership and social justice in administration programs , the dynamics of school decentralization and teacher participation , and critical examinations of systemic issues like power imbalances and bullying within educational hierarchies.

  • Technology for All: The journal is a hub for research on innovative educational technology (EdTech). We prioritize studies that address digital equity, such as the design of low-bandwidth, asynchronous learning systems through frugal innovation for remote schools. We also welcome research on the human-centered integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational administration, focusing on effective role redefinition, skill development, and change management.

  • Education in a Global Context: We feature research that connects education to broader societal and policy issues. This includes comparative policy studies that offer cross-national insights , explorations of how education shapes national identity and civic values , and analyses of how to embed concepts like social justice and tax compliance into curricula.
